*Houston holds a 1-4 all-time record against San Diego in the regular season, with a 0-2 record at home

*Last game between the two teams in 2013, the Texans defeated the Chargers, 31-28.  In that game, WR DeAndre Hopkins had 5 receptions for 66 yds total.  OLB Whitney Mercilus lead the team with 5 tackles and 1 sack, while ILB Brian Cushing also added five tackles and a interception.

*Texans have started the season 5-0 at home for the first time in franchise history and have won their last six regular season games overall at NRG Stadium

Houston Texans vs San Diego Chargers Post-Game Notes-

Very tough to fight against a team coming off their bye week, the Texans fall 13-21.

Texans had no consistent pass rush on Phillip Rivers from the defensive front

Benardrick McKinney with the only sack of the game finished with 12 tackles for the Texans

Chargers brought a excellent game-plan and executed according to Head Coach of the Texans Bill O’Brien.

In addition he stated that “we didn’t play good.  Started out pretty well and couldn’t do anything consistently on offense”

StatsTexans -Rushing Yds- 114 on 27 attempts – Passing Yds- 246 – 3 INT from QB

Chargers -Rushing Yds- 67 on 18 attempts – Passing Yds- 242- 1 INT from QB

Moving on the Green Bay and a top tier QB in Aaron Rodgers will be very difficult for the struggling Texans next week on the road on MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.
