Senior point guard Justin Moore was voted 15-6A Offensive MVP, while senior shooting guard Marcellus Freeman took home first-team all-district honors for leading a Spartans squad that finished 19-13, including 8-6 in district play. Moore ranked among the league’s leading scorers with 21.3 points per game, adding 6.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.8 steals per game while shooting 52 percent and 78 percent from the free-throw line. Senior forward D’Angelo Thomas and junior guard Daniel Coreguera made the 15-6A second team for senior-laden Stratford, which opened the second half with a five-game winning streak to ultimately hold off fifth-place Klein Oak by a game for the final playoff berth.
