ICYMI- Texas Tech Position Outlook-Linebackers

Jordyn Brooks out of Stratford High School wound receiving considerable playing time in 2016 and finished the season as Texas Tech’s leading tackler. His freshman campaign was capped off by an 18-tackle performance against Baylor which included a forced fumble right at the goal line to prevent a touchdown.Shortly after the conclusion of last season, Allen rejoined the Red Raiders after earning his scholarship back after his JUCO stint, joining forces with Jordyn Brooks. So heading into 2017, Texas Tech’s starting linebackers will be one junior and one sophomore, both of whom have proven their capability at the Power 5 level. That is not something that has been common on the defensive side of the ball, and is a real reason for optimism.
